Meet Dr. David Newton 

“I like to help people who are sick or hurt by making a correct diagnosis and giving state-of-the-art treatment to provide the best care possible to my patients.”

Dr. David Newton graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College, where he earned both a Masters in Biochemistry as well as his Medical Degree. In addition, Dr. Newton completed his residency in Family Medicine at the MCV/VCU.

Dr. Newton chose to practice Family Medicine because he enjoys helping people who are sick or hurt by making a correct diagnosis and giving state-of-the-art treatment to provide the best care possible to every patient. As an Urgent Care physician, he can focus on patients who have immediate health needs. Dr. Newton strives to provide compassionate and competent care to these patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Newton loves fishing, boating, reading, music and singing. He also enjoys spending time at bible study, and volunteering for various services projects, including the Chesapeake Bay Conservation efforts.
