Meet Darcy Spurgeon, PA-C

Darcy Spurgeon is a Physician Assistant with M.D. Express. After starting out as a dental hygienist, she went to Eastern Virginia Medical School and earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree. Darcy enjoys many aspects of healthcare but is especially interested in women’s health, laceration repair and dermatology.

Darcy chose to work in urgent care because she likes the variety of patient concerns and the opportunity to do various procedures. Every day is different. Her favorite part of the job is making a difference in her patients’ lives. Darcy considers it an honor to be trusted by patients with their urgent medical needs when they don’t have access to a primary care provider.

Married for over twenty years to a recently retired Air Force service member, Darcy enjoys raising her two daughters in York County. Originally from Ohio, Darcy likes the Hampton Roads area for its diverse backgrounds and the unique experiences of the residents. She also enjoys all of the places available to visit for fun weekend trips. When not in the office, she enjoys audiobooks, sewing, and playing board and card games with her daughters.
