Meet Dr. Stephen Woodall

“My goal is to create a fun, energetic and comfortable environment, so my patients feel safe expressing their concerns and feel confident in their care.”

Stephen Woodall, MD, joins the M.D. Express team as a family physician. Dr. Stephen Woodall earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He is currently in his third year of residency at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Riverside Family Medicine Residency. He chose family medicine because he enjoys building relationships with his patients and helping to improve their quality of life for years to come.

Within the field of family medicine, Dr. Woodall is particularly interested in laceration repair, Pap smears and general wellness. He aims to treat each patient with compassion and foster a comfortable environment so that they can feel safe expressing their concerns. One of the most rewarding aspects of Dr. Woodall’s job is having patients come in for follow-up appointments and seeing their excitement as their conditions improve.

Outside of the office, Dr. Woodall enjoys lifting weights, painting and spending time with his two dogs and two cats. A Raleigh, NC native, Dr. Woodall enjoys all of the outdoor activities that the Hampton Roads area has to offer.
